	About the Journal *Nanoscape: The Journal for Undergraduate Research in Nanoscience* is the first journal of its kind in the country. The journal provides undergraduate students with opportunities to experience writing and submitting original research manuscripts to a peer-reviewed journal. It disseminates the results of undergraduate research in nanoscience and nanotechnology to the wider community, and encourages undergraduate involvement in research opportunities. Launched in 2004, Nanoscape is an educational outreach project of the Northwestern University Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center (NSEC) for Integrated Nanopatterning and Detection Technologies and funded by the National Science Foundation.
